Freshman Ella Moores had a stellar performance for the Susquehanna University women’s golf team at the Landmark Conference Championships, finishing fourth out of 40 at the two-day contest. For this performance, Moores has earned the River Hawk of the Week award. On Day 1, Moores carded a solid 93, leaving her sixth on the leader boards going into Day 2. By the end of Day 2, however, she would leapfrog up to fourth-place overall in the final individual standings with her Day 2 score of 85. Moores shaved off eight strokes of her Day 1 score, finishing one stroke away from being tied for second and two strokes away from in sole possession of second place. Moores’ efforts, along with the rest of the women’s golf team, landed Susquehanna in fourth place at the Landmark Championships.Â
