First-year outside hitter Rosina Esposito shined for the River Hawks at the Sea Gull Classic in Salisbury, Maryland this past weekend.
Esposito led the River Hawks with 49 kills in the tournament, averaging 3.77 kills per set. She opened up her career with three straight double-digit kill matches. The Coraopolis, Pa., native recorded a career-high 16 kills in the River Hawks’ loss to Salisbury, their only loss of the tournament.
For her performance, Esposito was named to the Sea Gull Classic All-Tournament Team.
The River Hawks went 3-1 during the weekend and head into the Randolph-Macon Invitational on Sept. 6-7 with that 3-1 mark.
Esposito has earned River Hawk of the Week for her efforts.
