Junior linebacker Cole Dixon led the football team with nine tackles including seven solo tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and an interception in a win against Lycoming on Saturday. Dixon spearheaded a River Hawks defense that only surrendered seven points to the Warriors and forced six turnovers in a dominating effort.

His interception lead to Susquehanna’s third touchdown of the second quarter, essentially burying the Warriors before halftime. The team relinquished only 215 total yards and 45 rushing yards on the afternoon, helping to solidify a 38-7 victory.

The River Hawks continue play this weekend when they take on Johns Hopkins Saturday in their home opener. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Amos Alonzo Stagg Field.
