Junior libero Lizzie Herestofa has earned River Hawk Athlete of the Week after her performance at the Doubletree Invitational volleyball tournament in Pittsburg, PA from Friday, September 13th and Saturday September 14th.
The River Hawks played Case Western Reserve, Carnegie Mellon, Mount Union and Muskingum during their time in Pittsburg. The River Hawks went 2-2 at the tournament with the help of Herestofa on the defensive end.
The 5’4” junior tallied up an impressive 70 digs, 13 assists and 7 service aces throughout the four-game span, with a season-high 24 digs coming against Muskingum. Following the games after the tournament, Herestofa holds team-high statistics for service aces (23) and digs (190).
