Sophomore Quarterback Michael Ruisch was fantastic for the #24 River Hawks Football team during their Saturday afternoon 42-13 victory against Franklin & Marshall on Sept. 28th. The #24 River Hawks, led by Ruisch, put up 6 total touchdowns against a stingy Diplomats defense. 4 of the 6 touchdowns came before halftime, which the River Hawks led by 28-0

Ruisch led the high-power offense by going 19-27 (a 70.4% pass completion rate) for a career-high 5 touchdowns. Ruisch passed for 271 yards and also ran for 26 yards against the Diplomats defense. F&M had entered Saturday's matchup as the league's stingiest defense, holding opponents to 12.3 points per game and 227.3 yards per game.

For his efforts, Ruisch has again been named Centenniel Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the second time in three weeks earning the award. He has also earned this week’s River Hawk Athlete of the Week Award. Ruisch and the rest of the Football team will look to continue climbing the rankings with their Saturday night matchup against Dickinson on Amos Alonzo Stagg Field at Doug Arthur Stadium on October, 5th.
