SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- Susquehanna University's senior
Alyssa Kemmerer (Berwick, Pa./Berwick Area)
tallied a game-high 13 saves, including one on a penalty shot, but
three first-half goals by the visitors from Penn State
University-Altoona dropped Susquehanna (5-6-3 overall), 3-0, in a
snowy and cold non-conference women's soccer game at Sassafras
Fields on Oct. 15.
Kemmerer allowed a goal just 6 minutes, 11 seconds
into the game when a slippery ball went through her hands, snapping
her scoreless-minutes streak at 407:48.
Susquehanna's junior midfielder Erinn Jenkins (Blakely,
Pa./Valley View) and freshman midfielder Gabrielle
Magenta (Sewell, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial) each
registered a shot on goal.
PSU-Altoona (11-3-1 overall) controlled the majority of the game,
outshooting SU, 26-4. The Lions also scored in the 31st and 45th
minutes.
