SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- Susquehanna University's junior outside
hitter Lindsey Jankiewicz (Easton, Pa./Freedom)
recorded a team-high 17 kills to lead Susquehanna over visiting
Lebanon Valley College (24-2 overall), 3-1, in a non-conference
women's volleyball match at Orlando W. Houts Gymnasium on Oct.
22.
Jankiewicz also led the Crusaders (21-11 overall)
in service aces with six and tied a team-high with five blocks, as
they defeated regionally ranked No. 5 Lebanon Valley, 26-24, 27-25,
24-26, 25-21.
Senior middle hitters Jess Cicioni (Frackville,
Pa./North Schuylkill) and Madeline Hals
(Morristown, N.J./Morristown) and senior opposite hitter
Katie Peters (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown) also
had five blocks each.
SU's sophomore setter Shona St. Angelo (Manorville,
N.Y./Eastport-South Manor) posted a team-high 47 assists
while also adding 19 digs.
Susquehanna's freshman libero Kelly O'Brien (Mastic,
N.Y./Eastport-South Manor), led the way on defense with 33
digs. O'Brien has notched at least 30 digs in 11
matches this season.
