BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Susquehanna University's freshman midfielder
Ally Bradley (Jamison, Pa./Central Bucks South)
tallied the game-winning goal just 2 minutes, 19 seconds into
overtime to give visiting Susquehanna a 2-1 win over Moravian
College in a Landmark Conference field hockey game at Betty Prince
Field on Oct. 24.
Susquehanna (7-8, 3-2 Landmark) scored the game's first goal in
the 50th minute, as sophomore forward Anna Spisak (Boiling
Springs, Pa./Boiling Springs) took a pass from
Bradley before notching her fourth goal of the
season.
Moravian (7-11, 2-3 Landmark) tied the game in the 61st minute
but did not record a shot for the rest of the game.
Crusaders sophomore Erin Ferguson (Mount Laurel,
N.J./Seneca) stopped three shots on the day, including one
on a penalty stroke in the 48th minute, to earn her seventh win
this year.
Junior back Julia Amendola (Mountain Top, Pa./Bishop
Hoban) caught a shot on the goal line for the defensive
save that led to the penalty stroke. Amendola
leads SU with four defensive saves this year.
With the win, Susquehanna has clinched a spot in the 2009
Landmark Conference championships.
