Women's Soccer Takes Down Scranton, 1-0, in Double Overtime

SCRANTON, Pa. -- Susquehanna University's senior forward Abby Montgomery (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville) scored 1 minute, 12 seconds into double overtime to propel visiting Susquehanna over The University of Scranton, 1-0, in a Landmark Conference women's soccer game at Fitzpatrick Field on Oct. 3.

Montgomery's goal came from 21 yards out on a breakaway for Susquehanna (3-5-3, 1-1 Landmark). Sophomore midfielder Samantha Price (Minersville, Pa./Minersville Area) dished out the assist.

Senior goalkeeper Alyssa Kemmerer (Berwick, Pa./Berwick Area) earned her second shutout in as many games by making an impressive career-high 16 saves.

Scranton (8-2-1, 0-1 Landmark) recorded 36 shots to Susquehanna's nine, but the Royals--stymied by Kemmerer--were unable to capitalize.
