UNION, N.J. -- Susquehanna University sophomore Erin
Ferguson (Mount Laurel, N.J./Seneca) stopped a game-high
nine shots, including six in the second half, but visiting
Susquehanna dropped a non-conference field hockey game, 3-0, to
Kean University at Kean Alumni Stadium on Sept. 11.
SU (1-3 overall) and Kean (4-0 overall) played a scoreless first
half, but the Cougars scored three times in the second period to
earn the win--the last two coming 1 minute, 4 seconds apart to put
the game away.
The Crusaders' junior back Samantha Reitz (Wernersville,
Pa./Conrad Weiser) made a defensive save midway through
the first half to keep the game scoreless.
Sophomore back Laurel Monaghan (East Fallowfield,
Pa./Coatesville Area) led SU with two shots.
