Field Hockey Upsets No. 20 William Paterson in OT, 2-1

WAYNE, N.J. -- Susquehanna University's freshman midfielder Ally Bradley (Jamison, Pa./Central Bucks South) scored the game-winning goal 1 minute, 7 seconds into overtime to lift Susquehanna to a 2-1 win at nationally ranked No. 20 William Paterson University in a non-conference field hockey game at Wightman Stadium on Sept. 12.

The Crusaders (2-3 overall) struck first in the 10th minute, as freshman midfielder Allison Abey (Ewing, N.J./Ewing) tipped in a long strike from sophomore back Laurel Monaghan (East Fallowfield, Pa./Coatesville Area) to give Susquehanna the early lead. 

William Paterson (3-1 overall) came back to tie the score at 1 in the 30th minute and force overtime.

Sophomore Erin Ferguson (Mount Laurel, N.J./Seneca) stopped two shots for SU in the victory.

Susquehanna held a 5-3 edge in shots on goal and a 7-3 advantage in penalty corners.

Next Game: Tuesday, Sept. 15, vs. York, Pa. (non-conference game), 4:30 p.m.
