SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- Susquehanna University's junior outsider
hitter Lindsey Jankiewicz (Easton, Pa./Freedom)
totaled a match-high 19 kills in a five-set women's volleyball
non-conference victory against visiting Dickinson College (3-6
overall), 3-2 (24-26, 25-20, 25-19, 19-25, 15-12), at Orlando W.
Houts Gymnasium on Sept. 16.
Jankiewicz also tied a team high for Susquehanna (3-8
overall) with two service aces. Sophomore defensive
specialist Kate Reese (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro
Area) and senior opposite hitter Erin McMahon
(Catawissa, Pa./Our Lady of Lourdes Regional) also served
a pair of aces.
Crusaders sophomore setter Shona St. Angelo (Manorville,
N.Y./Eastport-South Manor) dished out a match-high 43
assists to go along with 16 digs.
Susquehanna's defense was led by freshman defensive specialist
Kelly O'Brien (Mastic, N.Y./Eastport-South Manor),
who had a match-high 51 digs. O'Brien has
notched at least 33 digs in five of SU's last six matches.
Senior middle hitter Jess Cicioni (Frackville, Pa./North
Schuylkill) led SU with four total blocks.
