CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. -- Susquehanna University's senior middle
hitter Jess Cicioni (Frackville, Pa/North
Schuylkill) led Susquehanna (7-8 overall) with four total
blocks in matches against Baptist Bible College (3-9 overall), 3-0,
and Lycoming College (4-7 overall), 3-0, at Phelps Student Center
on Sept. 19.
Cicioni also chipped in 11 kills in the two
matches.
SU's junior outside hitter Lindsey Jankiewicz (Easton,
Pa./Freedom) recorded match highs of nine and eight kills,
respectively, in both matches.
Teammate and sophomore setter Shona St. Angelo
(Manorville, N.Y./Eastport-South Manor) totaled 30
assists on the day to lead the Crusaders.
Crusaders freshman defensive specialist Kelly O'Brien
(Manorville, N.Y./Eastport-South Manor) tallied 28 digs
(18 and 10, respectively) in the two-match sweep.
Freshman defensive specialist Dana Kreutzer (Flemington,
N.J./Hunterdon Central Regional) led Susquehanna from the
service line with four aces.
SU defeated Lycoming, 25-20, 25-15, 25-16, and Baptist Bible,
25-14, 25-11, 25-14.
