Boxscore

SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- Susquehanna University's junior forward Jim Robertiello (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) scored a goal and assisted on two others, earning Susquehanna (1-3-0 overall) a 3-2 non-conference victory against King's College, Pa. (2-1-0 overall) in a men's soccer game at Sassafras Fields on Sept. 8.

Robertiello assisted on the first career goal of senior forward Dennis O'Hara (Salem, Va./Salem) just 2 minutes, 40 seconds into the contest on an open net to mark the only score of the first half.

With the scored tied at 1 in the second half, sophomore midfielder Austin Gordon (Millburn, N.J./St. Benedict's Prep) notched his first goal of the season off another Robertiello assist. The goal gave the Crusaders a short lead before King's tied the game again just 44 seconds after Gordon scored.

Robertiello capped off his night in the 72nd minute, heading in a pass from senior defender Andrew Cordell Carey (Fenwick Island, Del./Indian River) over the outstretched arms of the Monarchs goalie to secure the victory.

Junior B.J. Merriam (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern Regional) earned his first win of the season by making four saves.

Next Game: Friday, Sept. 11, at Lycoming (Battle of the Boot - non-conference game), 5 p.m.
