team used two second-half goals to win a non-conference game over
William Paterson University on Oct. 16.
William Paterson (4-10) jumped out to a 2-0 lead over the first
11:57 of the game. The Pioneers forced eight corner attempts in the

SU (9-6) responded with two goals itself in a 16-minute span to
notch the game at two at the half.
Junior midfield Anna Spisak (Boiling Springs, Pa./Boiling
Springs) recorded the first goal for the Crusaders off a
centering pass from senior forward Rebecca Entwistle (Wall
Twp,. N.J./Wall) just five minutes after the second
Pioneers goal.
Sophomore midfielder Ally Bradley (Jamison, Pa./Central
Bucks South) knotted the game at two after a corner
attempt was passed around the offensive zone. The ball eventually
found Entwistle, who took a shot, but was
deflected by junior back Diana Mask (Wilmington, Del./Mount
Pleasant). Mask picked up the
assist on the score.
Twelve minutes into the second half, the Crusaders took the lead
for the first time in the game. Entwistle was on

The senior received a pass from freshman forward Danielle
Waleko (Wainscott, N.Y./East Hampton) on the right side
doorstep of the cage.
Two minutes later, Waleko netted the insurance
goal off a corner. Bradley's initial pass to
senior back Julia Amendola (Mountain Top, Pa./Bishop
Hoban) was swung around the scoring zone to
Waleko, whose shot from the top of the
“D” found the back of the net.
For the remainder of the game, SU played strong defense and only
allowed the Pioneers to take three shots over the final 20 minutes
of play.
Junior Erin Ferguson (Mount Laurel, N.J./Seneca)
picked her up sixth win of the season in all 70 minutes of play.
Two of the first three shots Ferguson faced
resulted in goals, but the junior stopped every shot on goal after
that, and finished with five saves in the game.
