BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Susquehanna University,s women's soccer
team dropped a Landmark Conference game at Moravian, 4-1, on Oct.
23.
The Crusaders (5-10-1, 1-4) gave up two early first half goals and
could only net one score to begin the second half before the
Greyhounds (4-11-2, 2-3) notched two more in a three-minute
span.
SU's senior forward Julie Briskey (Selinsgrove,
Pa./Selinsgrove Area) scored the lone goal unassisted in
the 57th minute of play.
SU had two chances to tie the game at 1 in less than a two-minute
span, but the first shot was blocked and the second was saved.
Moravian capitalized less than two minutes after the two
Crusaders' shots and netted its second goal of the game.
Freshman Rachel Norbuts (Monroeville,
N.J./Woodstown) suffered the loss despite making six saves
in all 90 minutes of play.
