SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- The Susquehanna University women's tennis
team fell to the visitors from The University of Scranton, 6-3, in
a Landmark Conference match at the James W. Garrett Sports Complex
on April 17.
Sophomore Julia Lerner (Arlington,
Va./Washington-Lee) won a straight-sets match at
first-flight singles for Susquehanna (6-4, 1-2 Landmark), 6-4, 6-3,
over her Scranton (7-5, 3-1 Landmark) opponent.
SU's sophomore Cassie Zerbe (Berwick, Pa./Berwick
Area) recorded her team's final singles point in a victory
from the sixth flight, 6-3, 6-2.
The lone doubles point for the Crusaders came from freshmen
Abby Hess (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville) and
Kim Rogers (Hughesville,
Pa./Hughesville), who won from second-flight, 8-2.
