ALTOONA, Pa. – Susquehanna's women's
volleyball team won its ninth consecutive match by defeating
PSU-Altoona 3-1 in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.
SU (14-13, 5-1) won the first set 25-17. The Nittany Lions
salvaged the second 25-16 but the Crusaders won the next two 25-14
and 25-20 to win the match.
Junior Samantha Adler (Montville, N.J. / Montville
Twp.) finished the night with 30 assists, seven digs, two
block assists, and a.250 attack percentage. Junior Kaylee
Monga (Rockaway, N.J. / Morris Knolls) registered seven
kills and nine block assists. Senior Natalie Cicioni
(Frackville, Pa. / North Schuylkill) had seven kills and
eight block assists.
Junior Emily Carson (Caldwell, N.J. / James
Caldwell) recorded 11 kills and 19 digs and freshman
Hayley Dunkel (Pottsville, Pa. / Pottsville Area)
had nine kills and a .346 attack percentage. Senior Kate
Reese (Wellsboro, Pa. / Wellsboro Area) and junior
Dana Kreutzer (Flemington, N.J. / Hunterdon Central
Regional) recorded 16 and 11 digs, respectively.
The Crusaders are back in action in the Swarthmore Quad Match on
Saturday, Oct. 22 with a game slated against Landmark Conference
foe Scranton at 1:00 p.m. and versus Richard Stockton at 3:00
p.m.
