MADISON, N.J. – A balanced attack and quality defensive play added up to a 10-7 win for the Susquehanna men's lacrosse team, which defeated Landmark Conference opponent Drew to grab its fourth-straight victory.

The Crusaders (9-5, 2-2) used goals from six different players to take down the Rangers (8-5, 2-2) in what also marked their third-consecutive road contest.

Luke Delavan (Madison, N.J./Madison) led all scorers with a hat trick, while Tim Pastore (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) was the game's points leader, chipping in two goals and two assists. Dustin Breakey (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) also netted two goals to go along with an assist.

Goalie Jordan Daney (Wynnewood, Pa./Lower Merion) tallied 10 saves on the afternoon against a Drew team that out-shot SU by a 50-26 margin.

SU did win 11-of-19 face-offs, thanks to another solid game from Ryan Oakes (North Yarmouth, Maine/Cheverus). The Crusaders also held a 40-32 edge in ground ball and forced 28 Drew turnovers, nine of which came in the fourth quarter.

Forty-five seconds into the game, Austen Lein (New Vernon, N.J./Madison) spotted Susquehanna the early 1-0 lead and just 30 seconds later, Delavan upped to a 2-0 lead with his unassisted goal.

Drew got on the board to make it 2-1, but the Crusaders proceeded to rattle off three unanswered goals to cap off the quarter and give themselves a 5-1 edge.

The Rangers scored the only two goals of the second quarter to make it a two-goal game (5-3) at halftime.

Drew came out of halftime and scored two goals, the second of which knotted the game at five-all. SU responded with two more goals of its own to regain a two-goal edge. Drew's Steve Gentile netted the final goal of the third quarter to make it 7-6 with just 15 minutes to play.

Susquehanna was able to out-score Drew 3-1 over those 15 minutes, including two goals from Pastore, to clinch the 10-7 win.
