SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna's baseball team
couldn't get anything going offensively on Wednesday
afternoon and dropped a 5-0 non-conference contest to Lebanon
Valley.
The team honored its three senior members, infielder
Calvin Hug (West Chester, Pa. / Unionville),
pitcher Matt Lottes (Muttontown, N.Y. / Long Island
Lutheran) and outfielder Ethan Rieker (Lancaster,
Pa. / Manheim Twp.) in a pre-game ceremony.
Lottes pitched well in defeat, going all nine innings while
scattering 10 hits and allowing two earned runs. He gave up
two first inning runs but settled down nicely, shutting down the
Flying Dutchmen until the fifth frame.
The Crusaders (14-22) only managed six hits off of Lebanon
Valley (24-15).
The Crusaders head to Juniata for the final Landmark Conference
series of the year starting Saturday, April 28 at 1:00 p.m. with a
doubleheader.
