TOWSON, Md. – The Susquehanna women's volleyball team
capped off its first Landmark Conference weekend of the season by
defeating Scranton 3-1 on Sunday afternoon.
SU (8-13, 1-2) won 23-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-21 over the Royals
(14-9, 1-2).
Three players reached double-digit kill totals led by 13 from
Emily Carson (Caldwell,
N.J./James Caldwell), who also added five
digs and five block assists. Kaylee Monga (Rockaway,
N.J./Morris Knolls) had 11 kills and Jess Holm added
10.
Julia Caruso (Collegevilla, Pa./Perkiomen Valley)
finished with 37 assists as she finished the weekend with at least
32 assists in each of the three matches. Sarah Paluck
(Nesquehoning, Pa./Tamaqua Area) had a match-best 19
digs.
The Crusaders are back in action next weekend when they host their
Crusader Classic from Oct. 6-7.
