SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna field hockey picked up its
fourth-consecutive victory Tuesday night by defeating the Soaring
Eagles of Elmira 5-1 in non-conference action.
The Crusaders (4-1) wasted little time scoring as junior

knocked in a rebound off a shot by Megan McClellan (Oley,
Pa. / Oley Valley) to give SU a 1-0 lead less than three
minutes into the game.

Area) notched the Crusaders' second goal at 18:26
and Alison Caulfied (Rose Valley, Pa. / Strath
Haven) tallied SU's third goal off an assist by
Lauren Cram (East Brunswick, N.J. / East
Brunswick) as Susquehanna took a 3-0 lead into
halftime.
In the opening minutes of the second half, Elmira (0-2) ruined
the shutout as the Soaring Eagles notched their first goal off a
penalty corner at 37:12.
But the Crusaders responded with a goal ten minutes later off
the stick of McClellan to regain a three-goal cushion (4-1).

61st minute. The sophomore led all players with 11 shots
as SU out-shot Elmira 35-7 and held a 10-4 edge in penalty
corners.
