Box Score

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Susquehanna women's soccer team is still in search of its first win of 2013 after the Crusaders dropped a 4-0 road contest at Lebanon Valley on Saturday afternoon.

SU (0-5) was out-shot by a 17-3 margin but Susquehanna goalie Rachel Norbuts (Monroeville, N.J./Woodstown) came up with eight stop in goal after playing all 90 minutes. Norbuts and the Crusader defense surrendered only one first-half goal.

Marissa DeParto (Franklin Lakes, N.J./Indian Hills) accounted for all three of Susquehanna's shots in the match.

After 20 minutes of play, the Flying Dutchmen had out-shot SU 5-1 but the game remained scoreless. That changed when Lebanon Valley's Heather Tran scored in the 27th minute to go up 1-0, which remained the score at halftime.

Fourteen minutes into the second half, Lebanon Valley struck again for a two-goal lead. With less than 18 minutes to play, the Flying Dutchmen tacked on another goal for a 3-0 advantage over SU and then added a fourth goal with just over three minutes remaining to put the game out of reach for the Crusaders.

SU returns home to host Penn State Harrisburg on Sept. 17 at 7 p.m.
