DALLAS, Pa. -- Susquehanna's women's soccer squad dropped a
tough non-conference match on Saturday evening, falling at
Misericordia 5-0.
The Crusaders (0-4) only managed four shots and one shot on
goal, off the foot of junior Kelsey Hermick (Hallstead, Pa.
/ Elk Lake).
Senior goalkeeper Rachel Norbuts (Monroeville, N.J. /
Woodstown) earned the start and made seven saves in over
67 minutes of action.
Freshman Jordyn Slocum (Eagleville, Pa. /
Methacton) made her collegiate debut in the second half,
playing over 22 minutes and stopping two shots.
The Cougars (3-0), who reached the Final Four of the NCAA
Division III Tournament in 2012, got on the board in the opening
minutes of the game and would go on to score three more goals in
the next 23 minutes to take a commanding 4-0 lead into
halftime.
SU remains on the road, travelling to Lebanon Valley on Saturday
at 12 p.m.
