SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Both the men's and women's
tennis teams fell to visiting Catholic on Saturday afternoon.
The women (6-5, 1-1 Landmark) dropped to the Cardinals 7-2 while
the men (2-9, 0-2 Landmark) fell 9-0.
Junior Shelby O'Riley (Ware, Mass. / Quabbin
Regional) was victorious at No. 1 singles, winning 6-3,
6-4. Classmate Brielle Ferlauto (Neshanic Station, N.J. /
Somerville) also won at No. 3 singles, beating her
opponent 6-0, 6-3.
O'Riley and Christine Bender (Amityville, N.Y. /
Long Island Lutheran) fell in No. 1 doubles, 9-8
(8-6).
For the men, senior Jeremy Neville (Wellesley, Mass. /
Wellesley) fell at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-0.
The men host PSU-Altoona on Wednesday, March 26 at 3:30 p.m.
Both teams host Goucher on Saturday, March 29 at 1 p.m.
