to force overtime, the Susquehanna men's lacrosse team could

third overtime period.
The Crusaders (6-7) trailed 8-4 early in the fourth quarter but
rattled off four unanswered goals to send the game to overtime. The
game lasted through two overtime periods before the Pacers'

the game.

the equalizer with a mere six seconds left in regulation in his
only goal of the game. Austen Lein (New Vernon,

while Pat Brogan (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) had

33-25 and forced 20 Marywood turnovers while committing just 12 of
its own.
Freshman goalie Jonathan Berg (Chester,
N.J./Mendham) played the first 30 minutes before
Jared Knowlton (North Salem, N.Y./Kent School)
entered the game at the start of the second half and played the

the only two goals of the quarter – to give Susquehanna a 2-0
lead after 15 minutes of action.
There were a combined seven goals in the second quarter. The teams
traded the first four goals of the period as SU maintained a 4-2

into a 5-4 Pacers lead.
Marywood scored the only two goals of the third quarter as well as
the first goal of the fourth quarter to maintain a four-goal
advantage (8-4) with 14:06 left in regulation.
This time it was SU's turn to go on a run, though, and the
Crusaders put together a 4-0 stretch that included two goals from
Lein and the game-tying one from McLaughlin to force
Susquehanna's first overtime game of the season and first
since March 17, 2012 (10-9 L vs. Drew)
The first two four-minute overtime periods passed without a goal
until Bachman netted an unassisted score from directly in front of
the SU net to hand Marywood the 9-8 victory.
The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, April 12 with a 12
p.m. game at Landmark Conference opponent Washington &
Jefferson..
