WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – For the third consecutive weekend, the Susquehanna women's volleyball team has claimed a tournament title as it won the seven-team Lycoming Invitational with 3-0 wins over York (Pa.) and Elmira on Saturday. The Crusaders have now won their last nine matches and have only dropped one set during that period.

Setter Maggie O'Hearn (Mountville, Pa. / Hempfield) was named to the All-Tournament Team, her third such distinction in as many weeks.

SU opened the day with a straight-sets victory over York (Pa.), winning by a score of 25-22, 25-22, 25-13. The team was anchored up front by the duo of Jessica Holm (Montvale, N.J. / Pascack Hills) and Erin Byrne (San Diego, Calif. / Scripps Ranch), who each finished with 13 kills and two block assists in the match.

Both players also had impressive hitting percentages (.387, .382) and only committed one error between them in a combined 65 attempts.

O'Hearn recorded a double-double with 29 assists and 12 digs. Sarah Paluck (Nesquehoning, Pa. / Tamaqua Area), Corinne Eidle (Reading, Pa. / Wyomissing Area), and Alyssa Chiodo (Lansdale, Pa. / North Penn) also finished in double figures for digs, earning 19, 11, and 10 respectively.

Later in the afternoon, the Crusaders made quick work of Elmira with a 25-8, 25-15, 25-19 win in less than an hour. The first set featured 10 kills in 15 attempts with no errors for an overall team hitting percentage of .667.

Leana Carvin (Walnutport, Pa. / Northampton Area) had a team-high 11 kills, while Kady Faller (Reading, Pa. / Exeter Township) and Marykate Sherkness (Treskow, Pa. / Marian Catholic) each chipped in seven. Paluck contributed five service aces and 20 digs, and O'Hearn and Julie Kreutzer (Flemington, N.J. / Hunterdon Central Regional) both added 16 assists in the match.

Prior to next weekend's Elmhurst Invitational in Illinois, which will feature matches against nationally-ranked competition, Susquehanna will play a nonconference contest at Johns Hopkins on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
