SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna men's tennis team officially opened its fall season on Wednesday afternoon, hosting Lycoming College.

Unfortunately, the Crusaders (1-0) lost a 9-0 decision.

SU lost two doubles matches by 8-0, 8-3 scores before forfeiting the third doubles match.

In singles action, the Crusaders' Matthew Weller (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional) lost 6-0, 6-0 at first singles and Andrew Parrish (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) dropped a 6-2, 6-4 decision at second singles. Micah Nichols (Johnstown, Pa./Richland Senior) lost 6-0, 6-3 at third singles and at fourth singles, Daniel Rosales-Bernstein (Bethesda, Md.) fell 6-1, 6-1. Susquehanna forfeited the final two singles matches.

Susquehanna next hosts Misericordia on Sept. 20 at 12 p.m.
