Box Score SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna women's tennis picked up its third-straight dual match victory, defeating visiting Lycoming 9-0 on Wednesday evening.
The match started out with an 8-0 victory at first doubles by Shelby O'Riley (Ware, Mass./Quabbin Regional) and Brielle Ferlauto (Neshanic Station, N.J./Somerville). Claire Smyth (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) and Alyssa Fleischman (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand) teamed up for a 9-7 win at number two doubles and Amanda Costantino (Aberdeen, N.J/Matawan Regional) and Julia Spear (Milton, Pa./Milton) won 8-2 at third doubles.
O'Riley went on to capture win 6-0, 6-0 at first singles as she went the entire match without dropping a singles or doubles set. Her doubles partner, Ferlauto, picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win at second singles.
At third and fourth singles, Fleischman and Smyth won by respective scores of 6-4, 6-2 and 6-0, 6-2. Megan Rudloff (Milton, Pa./Milton Area) won a marathon of a singles match at the number five spot, winning 2-6, 7-5, 11-9. At the sixth singles spot, Sipple captured a straight-set win (6-0, 6-0).
The Crusaders (3-0) host Hood on Sept. 27 at noon.
