SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna women's soccer earned its first Landmark Conference win tonight when the team defeated Juniata College 1-0 in double overtime.

The Crusaders (7-5-2, 1-3) picked up their seventh win – and shutout – of the season thanks to a golden goal from Grayclynn Juckes with just 1:26 left in the second overtime period. This marks the most wins in a single season under head coach Nick Hoover.

"This was an incredible character win," head coach Nick Hoover said. "I am so proud of the effort that our ladies showed against a good Juniata team.

The game remained scoreless through regulation with the last chance to end the game in regulation coming at the 90 minute mark on a shot by Juckes. The Crusaders totaled 10 shots in regulation with Juniata (5-7-1, 1-3) following closely with nine. The Eagles' last chance to keep the game out of overtime was at the 88:26 when a header by Kristin Racis went high.

In the first overtime, SU took four shots within a four minute span with the last coming at 95:26 by Alyssa Bolger and was saved by Juniata goalie Kerry Leonard. Juniata took the last shot in the first overtime with 1:02 remaining but it was saved by SU goalie Jordyn Slocum.

The Crusaders took two shots to the Eagles' one in the second overtime with the last one making the difference. Juckes took a clear shot into the lower left corner of the goal to end the game 1-0 in Susquehanna's favor.

SU was led in shots by Juckes who totaled five, two on goal, while Alyssa Bolger followed closely with four. Emily Sullivan and Caitlyn Cameron contributed three and two, respectively. Slocum tallied seven saves on seven shots on goal.

The Crusaders remain at home on Saturday Oct. 17 against Moravian College at 3:30 p.m.
