WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Susquehanna men's basketball improved to 4-0 on the season with a 97-86 victory at Lycoming on Monday night, SU's third game in four days.

The Crusaders led from start to finish and saw five players in double figures, including four of five starters.

Josh Miller led all players with a 27-point outing on 11-of-16 shooting. He also added 10 rebounds. Steven Weidlich had 19 points and a game-high 12 rebounds while Dan Weiss chipped in 18 points and seven rebounds. Brandon Hedley added 15 points – 12 of which came from three-point range and Tyler Hoagland scored 11 points to go along with four assists in 26 minutes of action off the bench.

The Crusaders shot an impressive 60 percent from the floor to go along with a 47 percent effort from beyond the arc. Their defense limited Lycoming (3-1) to a field goal percentage of just 42 percent.

Miller's layup 62 seconds into the game put his team ahead 2-0 and SU never looked back. The team went up 6-2 after two minutes of action and Weidlich's trey at the 12:37 mark made it a 12-point Susquehanna lead (18-6).

The Warriors pulled no closer than seven points over the remainder of the half and Miller's free throw with 16 seconds to play made it 36-26, which remained the score at halftime.

For the majority of the second half, the Crusaders were able to maintain that double-digit lead. Calvin Chandler's three at the 12:27 mark pulled Lycoming within seven (56-49) but by the midway point of the half, SU led 69-54.

The Warriors managed to trim the lead to nine points several times but Hedley's three with 4:39 on the clock put SU up 82-68 and Susquehanna maintained a double-digit lead for the rest of the contest.

The Crusaders return home to host Penn State Harrisburg on Nov. 29 at 4 p.m.
