SU Men's Basketball Ends November Undefeated

Box Score

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna men's basketball team ended the month of November undefeated as SU beat Penn State-Harrisburg 72-58 Sunday evening.

This marks the first time since 1993 that the men's basketball team has started the season 5-0.

Josh Miller led all players in points with a game high 22 to go along with seven rebounds while Dan Weiss followed with 17 points and nine rebounds. Brandon Hedley made five defensive rebounds to complement his 11 points and Steven Weidlich finished the night with 10 points.

The Crusaders jumped 3-0 ahead in the first half on a three point play – a layup followed by a free throw – from Miller and never looked back. The Lions (4-1) came within two early in the game but a layup from Miller and a three by Steven Weidlich boosted SU's lead to five.

Susquehanna continued to add to the lead and finished the half up 38-28.

With 6:27 remaining in the game, a trey from freshman Tyler Hoagland gave the Crusaders their biggest lead of the night at 21 (64-43). The Warriors did go on a 15-9 run but it was not enough.

The Crusaders return to action on Wednesday Dec. 2 when they open Landmark Conference play at home against The Catholic University of America. The game starts at 7:00 p.m.
