SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna women's lacrosse team saw its brief, two-game win streak snapped with a 15-11 loss at the hands of visiting Lebanon Valley on Tuesday afternoon.

The Crusaders (3-3) jumped out to a 4-1 lead midway through the first half before being out-scored 14-8 over the remaining 45 minutes of action.

Meredith Crane (Maplewood, N.J./Columbia) and Kelsey Ehler (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) each netted four goals for SU, the only two players to finish with multiple goals for the Crusaders. Emma Jones (Wolfeboro, N.H./Brewster Academy) had one assist and a game-high five caused turnovers.

Brynn Reid (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) scored the first goal of the game before Lebanon Valley's Sam Boyce tied it at one nine minutes into the action. Crane responded with back-to-back goals to put her team up 3-1 and Ehler's goal with 15:30 to play made it 4-1 in favor of Susquehanna.

The Dutchmen scored seven unanswered goals over a 12-plus minute span to double-up SU (8-4) with just 1:49 remaining in the half. Ehler broke Lebanon Valley's scoring streak with a goal at the 1:32 mark and Susquehanna went into halftime down 8-5.

Lebanon Valley came out of halftime, though, and scored the first four goals for a 12-5 game. The game stood 14-6 in favor of the Dutchmen with 16:55 to play before the Crusaders netted three-straight goals to trim the lead to five (14-9) with 8:13 remaining.

Lebanon Valley went up 15-9 with six to play and despite Ehler scoring the final two goals of the game, the Dutchmen's lead held up.

Susquehanna hits the road to face No. 18 Messiah on March 28 at 1 p.m.
