Box Score WASHINGTON, D.C – The Susquehanna women's team traveled to Catholic University to take on the 13th-rnanked Cardinals in a Landmark Conference match.
The Crusaders scored first but were unable to overcome Catholic, falling 13-9.
Brynn Reid (West Grove, Pa. / Avon Grove) scored the first goal of the game at 26:32 but it was quickly followed by a 3-0 Catholic run. Catholic scored four of the final six goals of the half to go into halftime leading 7-4.
Three consecutive goals from Kelcie Ehler (Chatham, N.J. / Chatham) brought the Crusaders within just two of the lead (9-7) with 9:13 to play but the Cardinals scored the final two goals of the half for a 13-9 victory.
Ehler led the Crusaders with five goals. Annie McElaney (Natick, Mass. / Natick) contributed two and Brynn Reid and Ashley Rose Lynn (Millburn, N.J. / Millburn) had one each.
Emma Jones (Wolfeboro, N.H. / Brewster Academy) led in assists with four while Meredith Crane (Maplewood, N.J. / Columbia) chipped in two. Goalie, Carolyn Figliola (Weston, Conn. / Weston) totaled 16 saves.
The Crusaders host Elizabethtown on Wednesday, April 15 in a Landmark Conference match.
