Box Score QUICK STORY: The Susquehanna women's soccer team won its fifth-straight game Wednesday night as the River Hawks shut out the Rams of Delaware Valley College 2-0 on the road.
RECORDS: Susquehanna improves to 9-2-0 on the season while Delaware Valley drops to 2-8-1.
TURNING POINT: Even though the River Hawks out-shot the Rams 18-3 in the first half, the score remained tied at zero going into the second. Grayclynn Juckes scored what turned out to be the winning goal with 29 minutes remaining in the game.
Kate Cantrell scored an insurance goal with 12:54 left to play to give SU the 2-0 lead.
LAST CHANCE: The last chance for Delaware Valley to get on the board came in the 88th minute as Kylie Williams sent a shot high.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE: The River Hawks out-shot the Rams 28-6 with half of those shots going on goal. Geena Ragozine and Rachel Moyer led SU in shots with five and four, respectively, while five other players tallied three shots apiece. Goalies Jennifer Thorsheim and Jordyn Slocum combined for the shutout with Slocum nabbing the only two SU saves of the game – both in the second half – in her 45 minutes of work.
