Box Score SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna women's lacrosse team is getting ready for the 2016 season, which starts with a game at Albright on March 1.
SU went 8-8 last season with a 4-2 mark in Landmark Conference action. The Crusaders ended the season as the No. 3 seed in the conference championships and defeated No. 2 Scranton to make it to a fourth-straight Landmark Conference Championship game. SU was defeated by nationally ranked Catholic which was No. 11 at the time of competition.
The Crusaders return First-Team All Landmark attack, Kelcie Ehler who was tied for first in the Landmark Conference in goals during the regular season with 51. She was also first in goals in conference games in goals with 25.
Second-Team All-Conference selections at defense, Brooke Burnett and Zoe Lycett, return for their sophomore and senior years, respectively.
Susquehanna will look to senior goalies, Carolyn Figliola and Alyssa Rothman to guard the net. Figliola was 8-4 last season with 100 saves, a 12.09 goals against average (GAA) and a save percentage of .455. Rothman ended the season with 48 saves, an 11.95 GAA and a save percentage of .410.
