SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna women's tennis team hosted the University of Scranton Wednesday afternoon and suffered a 9-0 defeat.

In doubles action, the number two team – consisting of Linsey Sipple and Eliza Griffin – came within two in a 8-6 loss. The number one doubles team of Alyssa Fleischman and Allison Lobell lost 8-1 while Megan Rudloff and Julia Spear lost 8-0 at number three doubles.

Sipple took her opponent to three sets in her number two singles match but was not able to pull out a win and lost 2-6, 6-2, 10-8. At number one singles, Fleischman lost 6-1, 6-3 while Rudloff, in the number three singles position lost 6-2, 6-1. Griffin (6-2, 6-2), Lobell (6-3, 6-0) and Spear (6-2, 6-1) were defeated at numbers four, five and six singles respectively.

The Crusaders (5-6, 1-1) return to action on Saturday, April 9 when the team travels to Catholic for a 1:00 p.m. Landmark Conference match.
