HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Susquehanna men's tennis team opened its 2016 spring season against Wilkes University in Hilton Head, S.C. and lost 9-0.

Ben Ornstein and Ryan Seibert played in the number one doubles position and lost 8-4. Nick Meale and Alex Cocolas were defeated 8-6 at number two doubles and Alex Dove and Ashton Collins lost 8-1 in the number three doubles slot.

Ornstein fought hard in the number one singles position but lost 6-3, 7-5 while Seibert lost 6-1, 6-2 at number two singles. Meale (three singles) lost 6-1, 6-2 while Cocolas (four singles) was defeated 6-0, 6-3. The number five and six singles positions were played by Dove and Collins who lost 6-0, 6-0 and 6-2, 6-2 respectively.

Susquehanna returns to the courts on Tuesday, March 8 when the team takes on Berry College at 11:45 a.m.
