SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna women's lacrosse team suffered an 18-8 setback to Dickinson College on Wednesday afternoon.

Despite the loss, junior Kelcie Ehler picked up three goals and is now just one goal away from reaching 100 points for her career.

Ehler and teammate Annie McElaney combined for seven of SU's eight goals as McElaney finished with a game-high four goals.

The Red Devils – who are receiving votes in the IWLCA national poll – had 39 shots to the Crusaders' 20 and won 20 of 28 draw controls. Both teams had 17 turnovers and the teams' goalies each had eight saves. Alyssa Rothman had five saves in her first half of action while Carolyn Figliola had three saves in over final 30 minutes of the game.

Dickinson (6-5) scored the first four goals of the game before back-to-back scores from Helena Woytovich and McElaney cut the lead in half (4-2) with 18:44 remaining in the half.

Ehler's goal at the 17:13 mark made it a 5-3 game before the Red Devils rattled off five unanswered goals to lead 10-3 with 5:39 to play in the half. Each team scored once in the final two minutes of play and Dickinson led 11-4 at halftime.

SU (5-6) scored two of the first three goals of the second half to pull within six (12-6) of the lead but the Red Devils went on a 4-0 run to up their lead to 10 (16-6) with 13:32 remaining. The Crusaders pulled no closer than nine goals over the remainder of the half en route to the 18-8 loss.

Susquehanna remains at home to host Catholic on April 16 at 1 p.m.
