Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Susquehanna baseball team won their seventh straight game with a 12-7 win in Saturday's opener at Moravian before dropping the second game 8-2.

In the first game of the day, the Crusaders (20-10, 12-2) out-hit the Greyhounds (14-16, 8-6) 17-8 in their 12-7 win. Dylan Jenkins went 4-4 with four RBI's, two runs scored and two home runs. Zach Leone went 4-5 with three RBI's, three runs scored and two home runs while Josh Cimino wet 3-5 with three RBI's, three runs scored and a home run.

Pitcher Nathan Madden (1-1) picked up his first win of the season allowing one hit and no runs in one inning of work.

Two homeruns from Leone and Jenkins gave SU a 3-0 lead after the first inning. Jenkins increased that lead to four with another home run in the third inning.

The Greyhounds answered in the bottom of the third with four runs of their own to tie the game. However, in the top of the fourth inning, Cimino hit a two-run single and Leone followed with his second home run of the day to give Susquehanna the 8-4 lead.

Moravian scored three more runs in the bottom of the fourth to come within one (8-7) but it was not enough as SU scored one run in the sixth and three in the seventh to go on to win 12-7.

In the second game of the day, SU's offense did not hold up as Moravian totaled 13 hits to Susquehanna's five, all of which from different players.

Moravian took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the second and the Crusaders picked up one run in the fourth to cut the lead to two (3-1) when Bryan Palsi doubled to score Matt Cassinelli. However, the Greyhounds scored five more runs over the next three innings to increase their lead to seven (8-1).

In the top of the seventh, Susquehanna scored one more run when Taylor Luckenbill homered to center field but it would be the last run of the game for SU as Moravian held on to win 8-2.

The Crusaders remain at Moravian to finish the three-game series on Sunday, April 17 for a 12:00 p.m. game.
