SU Men's Tennis Drops 6-3 Decision on Senior Day

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna men's tennis team dropped its closest game of the spring, falling 6-3 against Drew University on SU's Senior Day.

The Crusaders lost all three doubles matches to go down 3-0 heading into singles play. Ben Ornstein and Ryan Seibert lost 8-3 in the number one doubles position while Alex Cocolas and Alex Dove were defeated 8-6 at number two and Nick Meale and Ashton Collins lost 8-6.

SU picked up three points in singles action when Meale defeated his opponent 6-3, 2-6, 10-8 at number three singles. Cocolas, in the number four spot, won 6-2, 5-7, 10-5 while Dove won in the fifth singles position 6-3, 6-2.

Ornstein was defeated in the number one singles position 6-2, 6-2 while Seibert lost 6-1, 6-0 in the number two spot. Ryan Van Valin, the team's lone senior, was defeated 6-3, 6-4 at number six singles.

The Crusaders return to action on Wednesday, April 20 when the team travels to Scranton for a 3:30 p.m. match.
