Women's Soccer Loses at Home

THE STORY: The Susquehanna women's soccer team dropped a close, 1-0 decision to the Hornets of Shenandoah University at home Saturday evening.

THE SCORE: The Hornets scored the only goal of the game when Emily Yergin scored off an assist from Alysha McCleaf in the 86th minute of the game.

SCORELESS: Even though both teams were able to take shots – Shenandoah 5, Susquehanna 4 – in the first half, the game remained scoreless until McCleaf's score the second half.

THE BOXSCORE: Grayclynn Juckes led Susquehanna in shots with three while seven other players accounted for the River Hawks' remaining seven shots. Goalie Jordyn Slocum played all 90 minutes and made five saves on six shots on goal.

WHAT'S NEXT? The River Hawks are on the road on Tuesday, September 20 as the team travels to Wilkes University for a 7:00 p.m. game.
