Women's Soccer Caps Regular Season with Win

Emily Sullivan scored the game-winning goal two minutes into the second overtime period leading the Susquehanna University Women's Soccer toeam to a 1-0 victory over Moravian College in the final regular season game Saturday afternoon at Sassafras Field in Selinsgrove.

Susquehanna (14-3-1 overall, 6-1 Landmark) took the game two minutes into the second overtime with Moravian (9-6-1, 3-4) on senior day as 11 seniors were recognized prior to the start of the contest.

Grayclynn Juckes crossed the ball to Sullivan who was in the center of the box and was able to head it out of the reach of the Greyhound keeper for the golden goal victory.

The River Hawks had a chance to take the game in the 83rd minute with a hard shot from Sullivan but it hit the cross bar, sending the game to overtime.

The River Hawks outshot the Greyhounds 13-8, giving the Greyhounds only two shots in the overtime periods.

In goal for the first half was senior, Julia Tolin who recorded two saves. Senior Jennifer Thorsheim came at the start of the second half recording three saves.

The River Hawks will play at 7 p.m. Wednesday night against Catholic in the Landmark Conference Semifinal game on Sassafras Field.
