Women's Soccer Wins 10th with 1-0 Victory over Penn College

Box Score

Emily Sullivan scored her fourth goal of the season and recorded her team-leading 13th point of the season to lead the Susquehanna University Women's Soccer team to a 1-0 non-conference win Tuesday night over the Penn College of Technology in Williamsport.

The win was the 10th of the season for the River Hawks (10-1-1) as the team has now recorded double-digit wins in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2004.

Sullivan took a cross from Mairead Ruane, which she shot past the Penn College keeper in the 59th minute.

The Wildcats had a chance to tie the game in the 75th minute with a shot at an open net but the scoring attempt was kicked out of bounds by a River Hawk defender.

Jennifer Thorsheim started and earned her first win of the season with a pair of saves.

The River Hawks will play at 1 p.m. Saturday against Scranton in a Landmark Conference match on the road.
