Joann Butkus, Katie Willis, Maggie Palaski and Abby Condon won two events each to lead the Susquehanna University Women's Swimming and Diving team to a pair of victories Saturday afternoon over Marywood University and Drew University in a tri-meet held at Marywood.
Susquehanna (2-0) downed Marywood 194-103 and defeated Drew by a score of 176-120.
Butkus, Condon, Palaski and Willis took top honors in the first race of the day with a winning time of 1:53.07 in the 200-yard Medley Relay. Butkus added a win in the 100 Breaststroke and also placed second as part of the 400 Free Relay and was third in the 200 IM on the day.
Condon added a victory in the 200 Backstroke and also took third in the 100 Back. Willis won the 50-yard Freestyle and was also second in the 100 Free in back-to-back events.
Palaski was the winning swimmer in the 100 Butterfly and also captured second in the 200 Fly
Freshman Brooke Boes won the 200 Breaststroke and was second in the 100 Breast while Erin Wetmore won the 1000 Free for the River Hawks and was also third in the 200 Fly.
Willis and Butkus teamed with Jess Jozefiak and Tori Weems for a second place finish in the final race of the day in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay. Jozefiak was also third in the 100 Fly.
In diving, Krista White finished second in the 3-meter board with a score of 208.35 and was third on the 1-meter board with a 176.65.
The River Hawks have another tri-meet next weekend at Gettysburg with Messiah.
