Senior pitcher Jamie Fesinstine had a perfect game through six innings and led the Susquehanna University Softball team to a 7-0 victory over Salve Regina in the first game of the day and the River Hawks scored a 6-3 win over Wisconsin River Falls in game two Monday and remained unbeaten at 4-0 on the Florida Spring Training trip.

Fesinstine did not allow a runner to reach base until a single in the sixth broke up the perfect game and no-hitter. The Susquehanna (4-2) turned a double play on the next at bat and the River Hawks went on to post the shutout victory.

Lauren Creamer was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs batted in to lead the River Hawks. Her first hit was the 100th of her career.

Susquehanna jumped out to an early lead with a run in the first and three more in the second. The River Hawks added three more in the sixth on a Kelly Miller two run triple. Miller came in on a Leigh Ann Greenwald sacrifice fly.

Fesinstine finished with seven strikeout and allowed just two hits for the complete-game shutout victory.

In game two, Alexa Gonzalez tossed the complete-game victory with three strikeouts and surrendered all three runs in the fifth inning.

The River Hawks took a 3-0 lead in the second as Greenwald singled and Jill Ahrens added a two-run single.

Susquehanna made it 5-0 with three more runs in the fourth inning. Emilie Boman had a bases-loaded two-run single and the third run scored as Boman was caught in a run down between first and second.

Boman finished 2-for-4 with two RBI and Greenwald was 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored. Ahrens was 1-for-2 with a run and two RBI.

The River Hawks are off Tuesday and play Roger Williams and SUNY Geneseo Wednesday.
