First Half Run Downs Women's Lacrosse

Brooke Klair scored twice in the first six minutes of the game for the Susquehanna University Women's Lacrosse team as the River Hawks and Scranton were tied at 2-2 early in the contest. Scranton then scored 10 consecutive goals to end the first have and scored a 17-8 victory Saturday afternoon in a Landmark Conference game in Scranton.

After falling behind after the first half, Susquehanna (7-7 Overall, 2-3 Landmark) traded goals for a majority of the second half as Ashley Rose Lynn scored four times and Klair added her third and fourth goals of the game but the River Hawks could not close the deficit.

Lynn and Klair combined to score all eight Susquehanna goals with four goals each while Caroline Rabiecki was credited with the lone River Hawks assist.

Shannon Kinney led the River Hawks with eight draw controls and three ground balls and Caroline Ray had a pair of caused turnovers.

Susquehanna had more shots (28-24) but Scranton used three goalies who combined for 15 saves.

The River Hawks will play a 7 p.m. game at Marywood Wednesday and finish the season at home against Drew next Saturday.
