Box Score Ashley Rose Lynn scored two of hear team-leading four goals in a key three-goal run for the Susquehanna University Women's Lacrosse team Wednesday night with a 9-7 victory over Marywood University on Pacers Field in Scranton.
Susquehanna (8-7) fell behind 2-0 early as Marywood (11-5) scored twice in the first 10 minutes. Una Heinzerling and Lynn scored in a span of less than two minutes to knot the score at 2-2.
The two River Hawk goals were the front end of a four out of five goals run that game Susquehanna a 4-3 edge.
Marywood tied the score at 4-4 with 3:38 left in the first half but Lynn scored her second of the day with 29 seconds left in the period to give the River Hawks a 5-4 lead at the break.
Marywood tied the score again 8:35 into the second half but Lynn scored twice and Caroline Rabiecki added a third goal as the River Hawks scored three straight to take an 8-5 lead.
The teams traded goals down the stretch as Liv Cohn scored for Susquehanna as the River Hawks posted the 9-6 win and stopped an eight-game win streak for Marywood.
Susquehanna will close out the regular season with a home game Saturday against Drew as the River Hawks will celebrate senior day for Cohn, Shannon Kinney and Lynn.
