Women's Tennis Falls to defending Champions Elizabethtown

The doubles team of Megan Rudloff and Linsey Sipple won the lone match of the day for the Susquehanna University Women's Tennis team as Landmark Conference defending champion Elizabethtown won an 8-1 decision Saturday afternoon on the James Garrett Center Courts in Selinsgrove.

Rudloff and Sipple won an 8-6 decision at No. 2 doubles for Susquehanna. Alyssa Fleischman had a pair of close losses for the River Hawks as she dropped a tight 6-4, 6-4 decision at No. 1 singles and also fell 8-5 in a close match with doubles partner Abigail Ransom at the No. 1 doubles position.

Rudloff had the other close loss for the River Hawks falling 2-6, 5-7 at No. 3 singles.

The River Hawks will hope to bounce back Sunday with a second home match on the weekend with a matchup against Moravian.
