Brian McKee all registered shots and the defense held strong for a majority of the game, but the Susquehanna University Men's Soccer team surrendered a goal on a penalty kick in the 87
th minute and were held scoreless in a 1-0 loss to Penn State Harrisburg Wednesday afternoon in Middletown.
In a game that featured only 12 shots in total, the River Hawks (1-7-2) were able to keep the game at a scoreless tie for nearly 87 minutes, including holding the Nittany Lions (8-1) to only three shots in the first half.
McKee fired a shot on goal and Reed had a potential shot blocked in the first half as the score remained scoreless heading in to the second half.
The Nittany Lions came out strong in the second half, taking six shots in total in the half, including a shot that found the back of the net in the final minutes on a penalty kick.
Barquin had a shot saved in the second half on a goal scoring opportunity for the River Hawks and the score ended with a 1-0 defeat.
The River Hawks continue Landmark Conference play Saturday when they take on Catholic at 1 p.m. in Selinsgrove.
